LA’s Eat for Impact Specials - May 2025

Throughout LA’s Eat for Impact, local restaurants served up exclusive dishes that supported a more sustainable and equitable food system.

Every meal featured in Eat for Impact helped reduce environmental impact while celebrating delicious, plant-based ingredients.

  • Amara Kitchen

    • Curry-spiced chickpeas - atop a bed of beet-tinted quinoa and rice, nestled over crisp mixed greens, heirloom tomatoes, pickled carrots, red onion, pickled serranos, marinated cabbage

    • Chiameal - chia seeds soaked in coconut cream + water, blueberry compote, seasonal fresh fruit, and sesame seeds brittle

  • Amiga Amore

    • Cauliflower Steak Al Pastor - 2 Peas in a Pod Farm cauliflower, marinated Al Pastor with charred pineapple, avocado mousse served with red masa tortilla

    • Beet Ceviche - Beets marinated in ginger leche de tigre, jalapenos, grapefruit, chamomile, watermelon radish, beet greens served wwith pasta chips

  • Ayara Thai

    • Mee Kra Pow - Rice vermicelli noodles, shiitake, tofu, chili, pickled garlic, holy basil

    • Jungle Curry Mushrooms - Curry paste, makrut leaves, acacia, holy basil, enoki, oyster, trumpet, and woodear mushrooms

    • Mai Thai Tai (beverage!) - Featuring carbon neutral certified Flor de Caña Eco rum, lemongrass and tamarind

    • Heirloom Tomato Carpaccio - Kafir lime tomato water, thai basil sorbet

    • Roasted Eggplant Filet - Flame broiler Japanese eggplant, balsamic soy vinaigrette, Filipino sofritto

  • Jitlada

    • Garlic Green Beans - Stir fried green bean with fresh garlic

    • Jitlada Delight - Chinese broccoli stir fry topped with cashew nuts

  • Kurrypinch

    • Kola Kanda - Kale, cilantro and curry leaves Rissoto, topped with fried kale chip and pine nuts

    • Cashew & Green Bean Kurry - Cashew nuts, coconut milk and curry spice blend with basmati rice

  • La’Sorted’s Pizzeria

    • Kirk’s Vegan Supreme - A vegan version of the Costco Food Court Classic Supreme pizza. Numu Vegan Mozzarella, BeHive Vegan Pep and Sausage Crumbles with Olives, Mushrooms, Onion, Peppers and Garlic on our fresh made tomato sauce.

    • Hot Dog / Tommy’s Way - A Split Grilled Impossible Stadium Dog, with Philippe’s Hot Mustard and Dijonaise.

  • Maury’s Bagels

    • Muhammara Bagel - Beet-walnut-tofu muhammara, avocado, persian cucumber, and sweet pickled onion

    • Avocado Bagel - Plant-based cashew schmear, avocado, tomatillo, French radish, Aleppo pepper

  • Sloopy’s Beach Cafe

    • Teriyaki “Beef” Tacos - Two plant based teriyaki beef tacos, with slaw, pickled red onion, pico de gallo, pesto, dates, almonds, and quinoa on blue corn tortilla. Served with choice of French fries, salad, or Asian Cole slaw

    • Stuffed Tofu - Bean curd (Tofu) skin stuffed with carrots, rice, red pickled onion, cabbage, parsley, soy ginger dressing with plant-based teriyaki beef

  • Tuk Tuk Thai

    • Yum Eggplant - Grilled eggplant, fried mushroom with chili lime red onions and scallions

    • Taro Tofu Shroom Crisps - Fried taro, tofu, mushroom clusters served with sweet peanut sauce and cilantro
